RUSSIA: Chivas coins cocktail bar

The first Chivas cocktail bar and gentlemen's lounge has opened in Moscow through a joint venture between Pernod Ricard whisky arm Chivas Brothers and Russian entrepreneur Stepan Mikhalkov.
 
The bar will have Asprey gilded siphons and other crystal bar accessories, Scotch whisky served in antique quaichs, and flaming drink specials.

It will sell a range of Chivas Brothers' Scotch whiskies including flagship brand Chivas Regal together with a menu of over 30 premium cocktails.

Mikhalkov said: "Chivas is one of the most fashionable and status-affirming brands in Russia so the opening of the Chivas Bar and Lounge provides an elite and elegant venue that brings the sophistication of international bar culture to the centre of Moscow."
