UK: Champagne Perrier Jouët unveils 1998 vintage
Champagne Perrier Jouët has released its 1998 vintage of Perrier Jouët Belle Epoque in the UK.
The vintage is backed by a new Belle Epoque Champagne flute. The flutes, designed by Serena Sutcliffe MW, will be available to restaurant and hotel customers and in limited edition gift packs with a bottle of the Champagne.
"The 1998 Belle Epoque is an exceptional wine showing complex floral notes, exotic fruit flavours and a persistent acidity through to the finish," said Ed Penny, senior brand manager for Perrier Jouët at Pernod Ricard UK, yesterday (29 March). "We wanted to ensure it could be served in the best possible glass - purposefully designed to enhance the elegant and delicate qualities of the wine. I was delighted when Serena agreed to help us with this project."
