Compania Cervecerias Unidas has posted a slight rise in quarter one volumes.
The Chilean drinks company, which also operates in Argentina, said earlier this week that sales volumes in its first quarter were up by 7.7% year-on-year. Total volumes in Argentina, up by 12.3%, helped lift the figures, while Chile delivered a 6.7% rise.
Argentinean wine sales reported the most impressive volume growth, coming in 53.6% up on the corresponding period a year earlier.
The preliminary results will be followed by consolidated results for the quarter before the end of this month, the company noted.
As well as being Chile's largest brewer, CCU produces wine, mineral water, soft drinks and local brandy pisco.
