HOLLAND: CCI to build production facility in Tajikistan

By | 17 June 2008

Coca-Cola Içecek subsidiary CCI International Holland (previously Efes Invest Holland) is to build its own production facility in Tajikistan.

In March, the group announced the formation of a sales and distribution company in Tajikistan with an initial capital of US$1m, to be 90% owned by CCI International Holland B.V. (previously named as Efes Invest Holland B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of CCI).

A change in market conditions and an increase in local demand necessitated the investment, the company said.

In a statement, Coca-Cola Içecek said the planned greenfield plant in the capital Dushanbe will be the first significant consumer sector investment in the country by a foreign investor.

The facility will have a production capacity of about 20 million unit cases of soft drinks.

Sectors: Soft drinks
