UK: C&C director resigns

By | 9 June 2008

C&C Group director James Muldowney has resigned from his executive position and from the company board.

Muldowney, who served as the group's strategy and development director since 2000, now plans to "pursue other opportunities" and will step down at the company's AGM on 11 July, the company said today (9 June).

Maurice Pratt, CEO of C&C Group, said: "We would like to thank James for his valued contribution to the group and record our appreciation for the role he has played in the development of C&C as a focused branded beverages company.  We wish James every success in the next phase of his career".

Muldowney, who was responsible for merger and acquisitions at the group, oversaw disposals such as the sale of the Tayto snack food business to Largo Foods and a number of acquisitions by C&C.

"I have enjoyed working with C&C through the transformational years from private equity to public market ownership and from an Irish beverages company to an international alcohol company. I wish the C&C team every success in the next stage of development," Muldowney said.
