Italian wine producer Cavit has appointed Enrico Zanoni as its general manager.

Zanoni, who will join Cavit on 1 July, replaces Giacinto Giacomini, who is retiring after 31 years with the company. Giacomini will continue as a consultant to the company until November.

Zanoni was most recently general manager for export-focused Illva Spa Wine & Spirits, which owns the Amaretto di Saronno brand. He previously worked for Nestle

Cavit, which accounts for around two thirds of wine production in Trentino, said this week that Zanoni's experience in export-focused businesses was the main reason for employing him.
