Along with the raft of new products, Kronenbourg has released a Fruits Rouge extension of its 1664 range

Carlsberg-owned Brasseries Kronenbourg has announced three new product launches in its domestic market for this Spring.

The French brewer has confirmed that a red fruit flavour of its 1664 brand, with a 4.5% abv, is now available in a six-pack of 25cl bottles and 50cl cans. It joins the existing range of 1664 beers; sans alcool, launched last year, rosé, classic, blanc, gold and vintage.

Kronenbourg has also marked its entry into the light beer segment with the launch of Kronenbourg with citrus juice - described as "fresh, fruity and low in alcohol (2.5%)". It is also available in a six-pack of 25cl bottles.

Finally, the Kronenbourg K range, which was launched last year, now includes a third variety - mango - joining the existing lemon & lime and red fruit flavours. "A novel flavour designed to meet consumers' expectations for a more fruity and less bitter taste," said Kronenbourg.

With a 5% abv, K by Kronenbourg is released in a six-pack of 27.5cl bottles.

Earlier this year, Brasseries Kronenbourg confirmed it was investing EUR12m (US$13.6m) at its brewery in eastern France, to adapt the production facilities to its expanding range of beers.
