The Polish brewery, Carlsberg Okocim, part of the Danish Carlsberg group, posted a consolidated net profit of PLN10.3m ($2.5m/€2.6m), for the first half of 2002, against a net loss of PLN3.9m ($963,000/€980,000) in the same period in 2001.

Revenues at Carlsberg Okocim rose by 92% to PLN483.5m ($119.4m/€121.5m) in the first half of the year. The company registered an operating profit of PLN8.8m ($2.17m/€2.21m) in the first six months of 2002, against an operating loss of PLN12.3m ($3.0m/€3.1m) in the first half of 2001.
