Carlsberg is moving its Asia executives

Carlsberg's Malaysia head has been moved to head up the Danish brewer's Greater China unit.

Soren Ravn will take on the new role on 1 July, Carlsberg said yesterday (24 April). Ravn, 39, will be replaced by CEO of Carlsberg Indochina Henrik Juel Andersen, the company said.

Carlsberg Malaysia chairman Dato Lim Say Chong said: “Ravn has been instrumental in leading Carlsberg Malaysia Group to three years of continuous strong revenue and profit growth.”

Andersen, 46, has held his current post for five years and has previously held management positions for Carlsberg in Vietnam, China and Taiwan, the brewer said.

Carlsberg’s UK unit yesterday (24 April) said it is reducing the abv on Tuborg to make the brand more “accessible”.
