Carlsberg Singapore has appointed Hans Olaf Hallan as its head for the Singapore market.  The 44-year old Norwegian has joined Carlsberg Singapore as its general manager.

Former managing director Mervin Sim has resigned from Carlsberg due to personal reasons.

Hallan has previously held positions in Carlsberg Corporate HQ in Copenhagen.  Prior to joining Carlsberg, Hallan spent six years with Coca Cola in a variety of roles in the Nordic, Baltic and Russian markets. Most recently, Hallan was the commercial director of Carlsberg Croatia for three years, where he had a proven track record of growing market share and brand equity.

Hallan said: "This is a great opportunity for me as Singapore is a really dynamic and challenging market. There are a number of avenues to further grow Carlsberg's share of market and I look forward to exploring every single one of them."
