The Czech government may reportedly look to sell state-run brewer Budejovicky Budvar.
A Czech government minister told The Associated Press today (22 February) that the country's government would look to privatise Budvar.
Agriculture Minister Petr Gandalovic, whose ministry oversees the brewer, told AP that a sale would depend on its trademark dispute with Anheuser-Busch.
"Everything is, of course, connected with the solving of the trademark dispute," Gandalovic told AP. "Nevertheless, we will work together with the trade and finance ministries to prepare (Budvar's) privatization."
He added: "It is not on the agenda now, but the Cabinet will definitely discuss it."
Sectors: Beer & cider
Companies: Budvar, Anheuser-Busch
