Brown-Forman has lined up the release of this year's Kentucky Derby commemorative bottle for its Woodford Reserve Bourbon brand in the US.
The company said yesterday (22 March) that the bottle features artwork created by US illustrator Michael Schwab. It will launch in 45 US states early next month.
"The imagery on this year's bottle captures the essence of the Derby," says Laura Petry, Woodford Reserve brand manager. "As the 'Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby', we are excited to unveil Schwab's great work and commemorate this historic partnership."
On this year's Derby bottle, Schwab has designed an image of a horse and jockey racing towards the finish line. The limited edition 1-litre bottle carries a SRP of US$42.99.
The Kentucky Derby takes place at Churchill Downs in Louisville on 5 May.
