UK: Brown-Forman wine MD joins LIWSF board
The chief of Brown Forman's European wine division has been appointed chairman of the advisory board for the London International Wine & Spirits Fair.
David Cox, the MD of the company's European wine unit, will head up the advisory board, originally set up by fair organiser Brintex in 2001.
"There is little doubt that this London trade event is now regarded as the premier European showcase for the wine & spirits industry and it is going from strength to strength," Cox said. "However, with the ever-changing dynamics and demands of exhibitors and attendees alike, the advisory board members welcome the opportunity to assist Brintex in their quest for continuous improvement."
Dee Blackstock MW, central wine buyer for UK supermarket Waitrose and Michael Sainsbury, global wine director at Maxxium Worldwide, have also been appointed to the board.
This year's LIWSF will take place between 16 and 18 May.
