US: Brown-Forman dividend declared

Brown-Forman has announced details about its quarterly dividend.

The US wine and spirits group said yesterday (25 May) that it would pay US$0.28 a share on class A and class B common stock. The cash dividend will be paid on 1 July to shareholders of record on 7 June.

While making the announcement, Brown-Forman noted that it has paid regular quarterly dividends for 60 consecutive years.

Earlier this month, Brown-Forman confirmed that it would merge its wine and spirits sales team into one marketing division. The change will be effective from 1 July and will be felt most keenly in the US, the company said.
