Broadland Wineries is pleased to announce the launch of a new imported wine to its range, El Tesoro de la Montañas Malbec 2012.

El Tesoro Malbec is from Argentina and is made from vines which are over thirty years old, situated in Luyan de Cuyo, Mendoza. This region is known to have some of the best terroir in Argentina and is well suited to growing Malbec. The grapes for this wine are hand-picked and the wine is aged in French oak for ten months.

The wine’s name literally means ‘treasure of the mountains’ and it is the heritage of this region, land which was “forgotten for many years” which is encapsulated in the wine’s label – El Tesoro is presented as a luxurious, hand crafted wine at an affordable price (RRP: £8.99). It has striking packaging with the added endorsement of having been selected by Arabella Woodrow MW, wine director at Broadland Wineries.

This is the second premium imported wine to be launched by Broadland Wineries this year and it gives clear evidence of Broadland’s new strategy to offer the UK retailer a complete one stop solution for their wine needs. With a highly experienced new wine team in place and a growing portfolio of quality wines, Broadland aims to continue creating exciting new products like El Tesoro de la Montañas and Waipapa Bay which was launched this spring.

CEO Mark Lansley comments: “We are really proud of El Tesoro de la Montañas Malbec as it represents so much about Broadland and the direction in which we are heading. The calibre of the wine’s look as well as the quality of the liquid which was expertly sourced by Arabella, really signals where we are aiming and it marks really exciting times for the company.”
