UK: Britvic launching Pepsi Max Cino
Britvic is promoting its new cappuccino flavoured cola Pepsi Max Cino throughout the UK.
The move follows Coca-Cola's announcement last week that it planned to launch Coca-Cola Blak in France in January.
The company will set up Pepsi Max Cino 'café bars' positioned outside retail outlets and high footfall areas. It anticipates giving away more than 1m samples in the promotional push.
It will be available in 500ml and 2l bottles and also 6x330ml can multipacks.
Pepsi Max Combo will bring together the two popular market features of being a low sugar and flavoured cola, containing no extra caffeine.
Low sugar cola is outselling regular cola by 7% and flavoured colas have accounted for almost 60% of category growth in the last two years.
Britvic's category director Andrew Marsden said: "Pepsi Max Cino fulfils the needs of both consumers and retailers by providing an exciting new outlook on the sub category, whilst maintaining the great tasting, no sugar element."
