By | 20 April 2006

Britvic Soft Drinks has embarked on a GBP3.5m (US$6.2m) marketing push in the UK for its Robinsons Fruit Shoot H2O brand.

The flavoured water brand began airing its "Chatterbox" advertising campaign on Monday (17 April). The television advert is set in a park and features three school children, one of whom talks non-stop, only to be silenced by a bottle of Fruit Shoot H2O, ending with the strapline "New thinking, new drinking".

Robinsons brand controller Jonathan Gatward said: "Robinsons Fruit Shoot H2O is the first water that children will really like, from a brand that mums trust."

Britvic said that consumer research showed 71% of children would ask for Fruit Shoot H2O, compared to 59% for Simpsons water, 52% for Touch of Fruit and 50% for Volvic Splash with Spongebob Squarepants. The brand is available in blackcurrant, orange and apple flavours.

Gatward added: "The ad campaign highlights the playful nature of Robinsons Fruit Shoot H2O and encourages children to drink more water."
