CANADA: Brick Brewing appoints president and CEO

Brick Brewing Co. has announced that it has appointed George Croft to the position of president and CEO with immediate effect.
With over 25 years experience in the Canadian beer industry, Croft was previously president and CEO of Lakeport Brewing Income Fund, before joining Brick Brewing, the company announced yesterday (12 May).
"George's unique mix of strategic vision, passion and discipline, combined with his intimate understanding of the beer industry, particularly in the premium and value segments, make him the right person for our plan to take Brick to the next important level," said Jim Brickman, executive chairman and founder.
Croft said he appreciated the board of directors' confidence and is "looking forward to this exciting opportunity."
Earlier this month, the Canadian brewer saw a reverse in profits for its fiscal year with a loss of C$2.6m in net profit to January.
