US: Blavod's Tequila brand gets retail boost

By | 12 May 2006

Blavod Extreme Spirits has announced that El Diamante del Cielo Tequila has gained additional retail distribution in nine US states.

The UK spirits group said today (12 May) that the brand - produced in a venture with Japanese drinks group Suntory - will be sold in states including Florida, Massachusetts and New Jersey.

Blavod added that the brand's distribution in Pennsylvania was widening to 230 stores, while the largest beverage chain in Illinois had also added the full line of all three El Diamante del Cielo Tequilas to its range.

In addition, significant distribution gains have been made for the company's wine portfolio, Blavod said. Notably, the Zingari and Tebavio brands have been added to the range of US retailer Cost Plus World Market in Georgia and Florida.

"Each new placement by our distribution partners throughout the US enhances our portfolio's reach to consumers," said Jeff Hopmayer, Blavod CEO.
