The French wines and spirits group Belvedere has see its turnover for the first nine months increase 70% to €247.5m (US$292.6m).

The group said that if duties and taxes on alcohol were excluded and the turnover is calculated at fixed exchange rates the year-on-year increase stands at 91%.

Sales of the company's vodka grew 174% on the same period last year to 83.7m 50 cl bottles. Wine sales increased 38% to 9.4m bottles.

The company reiterated its full year estimates for a turnover of €300m
