BevAccess.com announced today that Robert Wilson has joined the company as Director of Beer Industry Development. Wilson's appointment comes at an important and exciting time in the company's growth with the recent landmark agreement with Brooklyn-based Prospect Beverages, Inc., making BevAccess.com the first to offer licensed retail buyers access to research and procure beer online. The company has since signed on additional beer wholesalers representing top brands including Amstel, Coors, Heineken and Rolling Rock.

Wilson joins the BevAccess.com management team, which already brings together top professionals and "best practices" from the beverage alcohol industry and other complementary industries. In his new role at BevAccess.com, Wilson will work closely with brewers, wholesalers and retailers to identify opportunities that will support their existing systems with technological advancements and innovative solutions. These efforts will work toward improving time-to-sell, merchandising and delivery service for existing and potential clients. He will also be responsible for marketing BevAccess.com's services and products to the continuously evolving beer industry.

Wilson, an advocate of technological advancement in the beer industry, has played a key role in educating the national network of Anheuser-Busch wholesalers and the National Beer Wholesaler's Association (NBWA) about the benefits of e-commerce in distribution networks. Elected to the NBWA's Beer Industry Electronic Commerce Coalition (BIECC), a ten member committee established to direct the beer industry's e-commerce initiatives, Wilson was one of two non-principle wholesaler representatives to sit on the committee and be in the unique position to evaluate all e-procurement solutions in the marketplace. Coupled with his extensive computer science education and industry-specific sales expertise, Wilson provides BevAccess.com with the needed value to enhance business for the beer wholesaler and buyer.

Wilson's career began in 1985 when he joined Hoffman Beverage, an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was promoted to Sales Team Leader in 1988, to General Sales Manager in 1991 and then to Business Manager in 1996. During his 15-year career at Hoffman Beverage, Wilson has been recognized for his team leadership and contributions of increasing company sales by more than 20%, implementing a total quality management program with a review of every business process, developing new routing strategies which resulted in significant financial savings for the company, while improving time-to-sell, and increasing Budweiser family volume and distribution.

Wilson is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a B.A. in Business Administration and Computer Science and is a former board member of the Beer Industry Electronic Commerce Coalition (BIECC).
