Boston Beer Co. has added to its range of Samuel Adams beers after some 14,000 drinkers voted to name the company's new brew.
The US brewer said today (3 January) that it has included its Samuel Adams Honey Porter in its stable of beers available nationwide after a poll of beer lovers in August and September.
Boston Beer Co. founder Jim Koch said: "Beer enthusiasts continue to demand full-flavored, handcrafted beer, and our brewers are proud to add Honey Porter to the variety of Samuel Adams beers that stand up to their discerning palates."
Samuel Adams Honey Porter will become part of the brand's Brewmaster's Collection, which is available throughout the US for around retail price of US$12.99-13.99.
Boston Beer Co. described the brew as a "full-flavoured, full-bodied English porter with a substantial roasted malt character, offering a smooth, rounded finish".
