Beam Global Spirits & Wine has lined up a sailing sponsorship package in the UK for its Cockburn's Port brand.
The company confirmed late last week that Cockburn's will be the official Port of Skandia Cowes Week this year. The event takes place on the Isle of Wight, off the south coast of England, between 4 August and 11 August.
Included in the sponsorship deal is the Cockburn's Port Hole bar on the quayside at Cowes, as well as a branding appearance on 'Red', a yacht which raises awareness for The Global Fund charity.
"This long-standing sailing event attracts 50,000 visitors, over 1,000 yachts and 8,500 competitors year-on-year," said Lucy Sewell, Beam Global UK's marketing manager for Cockburn's. "With a male bias, the visitors and sailors mirror the Cockburn's target consumer, providing an unparalleled opportunity to communicate Cockburn's premium, contemporary cues to urban males over 30."
Financial details of the package were not disclosed.
Sectors: Spirits
Companies: Beam Global
