UK: Beam to launch new-look Cockburn's in July

By | 23 May 2008

Beam Global UK has today (23 May) confirmed the launch-date for its Cockburn's Port range.

The new-look products will be available from July across the UK on- and off-trade and is part of a GBP2m (US$4m) investment behind the brand.

Beam has included "at a glance" tasting notes on the Cockburn's labelling as well as food-matching tips to encourage consumers to "experiment beyond the cheeseboard", the company said.

"This radical new look breaks with category conventions," said Cockburn's brand manager Janice Moorfield. "The new packaging will be appreciated by Cockburn's core consumers and also appeal to men aged 35+ who are interested in exploring the delights of food and wine-matching and seeking a new, premium drinking experience."

Cockburn's Light White port, ten-year old and 20-year old Tawny ports will now be packaged in 50cl clear glass bottles.
