The Bacardi Group has expanded its deal with the Y&R advertising agency to include Bacardi Flavors and Bacardi Gold Rum. 

Y&R will handle both brands globally, alongside its current account for Superior Rum, Bacardi announced today (16 September).

The move comes one month after the Bermuda-based drinks group told just-drinks it had begun a thorough review of all advertising deals.

"Last month, Bacardi conducted a review of future needs. We are pleased to say that it resulted in the decision to give Y&R the responsibility for other international rums," said Stella David, global chief marketing officer for Bacardi.

The group has expanded marketing efforts in the UK this year. Two weeks ago, Bacardi hosted its B-Live event in London, hiring out a club in the city and laying on a selection of renowned Djs.
