Bacardi, Brown-Forman and Rémy Cointreau are expanding their distribution alliance in the US to include California and Texas.

The companies, which began their collaboration in New York with the formation of a co-sales division within Empire Merchants last year, said yesterday (12 February) that the expanded alliance will commence with Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) in Texas this month.

The companies added that they have already begun talks with Young's Market Co. in California, while additional markets will be announced in the coming months.

Bacardi USA president and CEO John Esposito said: "These dedicated selling divisions in these two key US markets will provide an excellent platform for our world class brands. We will improve our efficiency and effectiveness and present an attractive portfolio of category leading products for our customers."
