BERMUDA: Bacardi appoints travel retail head
Bacardi has named the current director of its global gin division, Andrew Carter, as its new managing director for travel retail business.
Bacardi announced this week that Carter will take up the post in August.
He replaces Maurice Doyle, who will leave Bacardi at the end of July to become marketing director at Scotch whisky group William Grant & Sons.
"Since Bacardi Global Travel Retail was set up as a stand-alone division in 2006 it has ensured that our portfolio of premium brands continues to thrive in what is one of the world's most challenging and dynamic marketplaces," said Séamus McBride, president and CEO of Bacardi.
Carter's replacement as head of the firm's global gin division will be announced shortly, the group said.
