Bacardi Limited and The Glenmorangie Company have said their UK and European distribution agreements will come to an end on 30th June 2005. Moet Hennessy, which acquired The Glenmorangie Company at the beginning of the year, will take over distribution in these markets.

Luis Bach, regional director of Bacardi-Martini BV Northern Europe, said: "Bacardi Limited regrets that we will no longer be handling the distribution of Glenmorangie in many European markets, but it was a natural consequence of the acquisition of The Glenmorangie Company by Moet Hennessy. We wish the brands every success in the future."
The brands concerned are Glenmorangie Scotch Whisky and BNJ (Baillie Nicol Jarvies) in the UK, and Glenmorangie Scotch Whisky in the following markets: France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Greece and Switzerland. In Portugal, Bacardi Limited will continue to distribute Glenmorangie Scotch Whisky and James Martins, at the request of Moet Hennessy.
