The Tequila producer, Jose Cuervo, has announced that Mexican anti-trust authorities have given the go-ahead for its purchase of 50% of the Tequila brand, Don Julio, from the UK-based drinks conglomerate, Diageo.

Under the terms of the deal, Cuervo will market Don Julio in Mexico while Diageo, which retains a 50% stake in Don Julio, will distribute the brand in other markets.
