The Argento Wine Company has lined up an importer for the launch of its namesake range of wines into the US.

The Argentine producer confirmed yesterday (9 June) that Lion Nathan USA will handle the Argento and Argento Reserva portfolios, which will launch in the country this month.

The US entry follows recent distribution expansion for Argento into countries including China, Poland and Australia, bringing the number of countries in which Argento is available to 46.

"The Argentine wine category is currently the fastest growing import segment in the US," said Amelia Nolan, Argento's managing director. "With ... the increasing popularity of Malbec, Argento is well positioned to quickly establish itself as a successful wine brand in the US."

The company has offices in London, as well as a winery, a guesthouse and offices in Argentina.
