UK: Argento serves up two more wine offerings
Argento Wine Company is set to add to its portfolio in the UK.
The company, run by Bodegas Esmeralda, confirmed last week that two brand extensions will be available in the country in time for Christmas. A 2006 Chardonnay and a 2005 Malbec will join a 2006 Malbec, a 2006 Pinot Grigio and a 2005 and 2006 Bonarda as Argento's UK offering.
The two wines will retail at GBP5.99 (US$11.16) and can be found in branches of Tesco from mid-November.
"We believe these are wines with broad appeal, but importantly, they have a strong sense of place, and are an excellent representation of the outstanding quality that Argentina is capable of," Argento said.
In July, Argento teamed up with trans-Tasman drinks company Lion Nathan, UK wine agent Bibendum and Chile's Via Wine Group to combine distribution of the companies' wine brands in Europe.
