US brewing giant, Anheuser-Busch Inc., has confirmed its earnings per share growth target of 12% for 2004. The company, which is the world's largest brewer, achieved EPS growth of 12.7% in 2003.

At a conference yesterday in New York, chief financial officer, W. Randolph Baker, told investors that the company was confident of achieving double-digit EPS growth over the long term, along with continued improvements in return on capital employed.

At the same conference, the company said that China and Mexico would remain its prime focus in terms of its international growth strategy.
