US: Anheuser-Busch launches new Budweiser beer

Anheuser-Busch has expanded its Budweiser portfolio by launching Budweiser American Ale in the US.
Budweiser American Ale, which is 5.3%abv, will be launched across the retail and on-trade sectors from 29 September, Anheuser (A-B) announced today (17 September).
Eric Beck, brewmaster for the new beer, said: "Budweiser American Ale has the full-bodied taste profile of the amber ale style." It is being launched to help A-B grab a bigger share of the growing market for craft beers and high-end lagers, Beck added.
The beer will be backed by advertising in all media, as well as sampling events, A-B said.

Of course we all knew it would come someday.... probably after all the imported ales summed up an good share of the total imported beers and after a few regional upstart USA breweries started to offer ales also, like those imported from Canada and the UK. What a laugh...Anheuser Busch launches and "American" ale...how ridiculous,
coming for the "King of Beers" company , that never had an ale to offer in the last decades....I for one would explain to newcomers to "ale" about the differences and especially as regards what the "F" is " American" Ale?!!!
