BRAZIL: AmBev Q3 and YTD figures released

AmBev has announced the sales volumes for the third quarter of this year. The company said today (19 October) that total beer volumes for the three-month period rose by 4.4% year-on-year to 21.86m hectolitres, while soft drinks were up by 6.8% at 7.388m hl.
In Brazil, beer sales increased in the quarter by 3.4% to 14.485m hl, with soft drinks up by 6.2% at 4.7m hl. Beer volume sales in Hispanic Latin America rose by 10.7% to 4.267m hl, while soft drinks were up by 8.1% at 2.69m hl. In North America, the company saw total volumes rise slightly, by 1.2% to 3.1m hl.
For the year to date, Brazilian beer and soft drinks volume sales rose by 10% and 6.1% respectively, with both sectors registering 10.9% rises in Hispanic Latin America. North America saw volume sales for the year so far down by 3.3%. Overall sales were up by 8.3% for beer, and by 7.8% for soft drinks.
AmBev is scheduled to issue an earnings release on 3 November.
