DISCUS has welcomed its second new member in the space of a month

The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) has recruited its second new member in the space of a month – Agave Loco Brands.

The trade body, which announced the news yesterday (20 May), described the Illinois-based firm as a “rapidly-growing spirits producer”. Peter Cressy, DISCUS' president & CEO said: “Agave Loco is a dynamic, growing company that has new and innovative high-quality products.”

The company's portfolio includes it flagship product RumChata, a rum cream brand, and Agave Loco Pepper-Cured Tequila.

Edrington also joined the trade body this month. According to DISCUS' website, it now has 16 full members. The group works to "protect the industry from higher taxes and reduce trade barriers across the globe".
