Adnams has lined up the launch of a commemorative beer in the UK. Flame Runner, which launches this month, has been named “to coincide with the start of the sporting festivities (in the UK) this summer”.

The pale ale is produced from “ingredients sourced from each of the five competing continents” at the Olympic Games, which start in London later this month. The malted barley comes from Europe, the hops from Australasia and the spices from Africa, Asia and America.

The variant will be available for a limited - albeit unspecified - time.
