INDIA: A-B introduces flagship Bud
Crown Beers India, the joint venture between Anheuser-Busch and Crown International, has launched a new locally-produced Budweiser in India
The company said last week that the Indian brewed Budweiser will be available in southern and western India in 330ml and 650ml bottles.
Anheuser-Busch Asia Pacific Operations CEO and president Stephen Burrows said: "As the Indian beer market continues to experience tremendous growth, our goal is to make Budweiser the leading brand in the premium category."
In February, A-B and Crown International formed a 50/50 partnership with the intention of targeting the Indian market, beginning by introducing locally-brewed Budweiser. The joint venture included the opening of a new brewery in southern India, as well as brewing, marketing and distribution plans.
