EU: 3i soft drink acquisition cleared

The European Commission has approved the acquisition of full control of Refresco Holding, a Dutch manufacturer of private-label soft drinks, by the British venture capital company 3i Group plc. The EC said it was satisfied there were no competition problems arising and cleared the deal under its simplified procedure.
