Washington state winery 14 Hands has been confirmed as a sponsor of the Kentucky Derby for a second year.

As part of the deal, the company’s wines will be featured in concession stands and suites of the Churchill Downs racetrack during Kentucky Derby Week, it announced today (2 April). The wines will also be available at the Taste of Derby, an annual culinary event.

"We are excited for our continued partnership with the Kentucky Derby and Taste of Derby, as it gives us an opportunity to showcase 14 Hands' universal appeal," said 14 Hands winemaker Keith Kenison.

Financial details behind the tie-up were not disclosed.

The Kentucky Derby takes places on 3 May.
