Supermercados Disco SA is expanding its activities in Uruguay, having inaugurated its first hypermarket in late 2009 and starting “home” departments in several of its stores. The expansion plans include a second hypermarket in new premises at Punta Carretas Shopping, freeing some 2,200 sq m of its Disco Natural store. Disco is also one of the main partners for the construction of Nuevocentro Shopping centre in Montevideo, where the company will open a new supermarket in 2013.
