Texaco (Delek) was the only player in the top five to decrease its site numbers, with a loss of 14 sites.In 2009, total fuel consumption in Belgium declined by 0.8%. This followed a period of sustained growth for three years since 2006. Consumption of gasoline fell by 4.0%, however diesel consumption increased by 0.7% in 2009 over 2008. Petrol prices declined by 10.8% and diesel prices declined by 19.7%.At the start of 2010, over 68% of service stations in Belgium featured a shop, although in 2009, the number of forecourt shops decreased by 4%.
