Nong Shim’s retailing rights contract with the bottled water brand Jeju Samdasoo ended in December 2012. Shortly after the contract termination went public, Nong Shim announced that it would a release a bottled spring water product that uses Mt Baekdu water. Mt Baekdu is located between the border of North Korea and China. Jeju Samdasoo, on the other hand, is selling the image of Mt Hanla.
