Non-Store Retailing in Ecuador
Report description
During 2012, the increase in the return of Ecuadorians that lived abroad affected non-store retailing sales, and mainly internet sales. In the first half of 2012 over 15,000 Ecuadorians returned from Spain. The crisis in countries like Italy and Spain affected Ecuadorians immigrants, and as many lost their jobs, they stopped sending remittances in any form. One of the most popular forms of remittances was internet retailing.
