Germany Internet and Social Media: How German Consumers Use the Digital World for Wine Information
While traditional sources of information – such as word-of-mouth recommendation - still dominate in Germany, and across many other western markets, the internet is now widely used by consumers as a source of information about wine. 44% of German regular wine drinkers say they “often” or “occasionally” use the internet to get information about wine – which we estimate gives us a population of 12.4 million German wine drinkers accessing wine information online.
