Commercial Refrigeration Equipment NEW US industry forecasts for 2014 & 2019

This study analyzes the United States commercial refrigeration equipment industry. Commercial refrigeration equipment shipments are presented by product type (transportation refrigeration systems, beverage refrigeration equipment, display cases, reach-in refrigerators and freezers, walkin refrigerators and freezers, ice machines, refrigerated vending machines, cryogenic equipment, liquid chillers, parts and miscellaneous equipment) and key markets (foodservice, food retail, food distribution, food production and other). Excluded from the study are air conditioning systems and all refrigeration equipment designed for residential use.

Historical data are provided in current (including inflation) dollar terms for the years 1999, 2004 and 2009. Forecasts are provided through 2014 and 2019, also in current dollars. Unit data are provided for certain product segments. As used in this study, the term “shipment” includes all production from US manufacturing sites which is then shipped to both US and foreign markets. Current dollar demand by the major markets is given for both the historic and forecast years. The term “demand” refers to US shipments plus
imports less exports. Tabular details may not add to totals due to independent rounding, and ratios may be rounded for clarity.
