Coffee saw a mixed performance in 2012. While standard fresh ground coffee continued to decline in volume terms, posting a 2% drop on 2011, coffee beans and coffee pods gained in popularity. A strong performance was also seen in the on-trade as coffee-to-go became increasingly prevalent.
