Brazil: Wine Market Landscape Report
Report description
Brazil’s booming economy is creating a middle class that is increasingly turning to wine as their beverage of choice, according to consumer research published today by Wine Intelligence. Some 18 million Brazilians are now drinking imported wine at least twice a year, according to the Brazil Wine Market Landscape Report, as they seek out new lifestyles that reflect their growing affluence. There is also encouraging news for sparkling wine producers. The consumer survey data collected for the Brazil Wine Market Landscape Report shows three quarters of drinkers of imported wine in Brazil are now drinking sparkling wine at least several times a year s-placing bubbles just above rosé in the hearts of Brazilian consumers. This fits with another finding in the report, which shows that festivals and other celebrations remain the principal wine drinking occasions in Brazil – good news for the continued growth of the sparkling wine market.
