Market Manager – On & Off Premise – New Jersey

POSITION OVERVIEW


We are actively interviewing experienced alcohol beverage territory managers in the New Jersey area for the role of On/Off Premise Market Manager for that territory.  The purpose of the position is to attain depletion, merchandising, billing, and financial goals within the designated territory by managing account relationships and distributors’ activities.

 



POSITION DUTIES

 

·  Responsible for company depletion goals for a designated area within the Region.

·  Assist in the implementation of all on and off-premise brand programs and the attainment of monthly goals.

·  Advise distributor with respect to distributor’s execution of off-premise programs for Company’s products in designated accounts. Specifically:

Merchandising/Display program
• Distribution drive
• Shelf sets

·  Communicate and reinforce brand objectives, strategies, promotion activity, and product knowledge to distributor sales force on a regular basis through the forum of sales meetings and calling on accounts with distributor supervisors and/or key salesmen.

·  Survey on a consistent basis accounts and the market to report on distribution, pricing, display activity, out of stock condition, competitive brand activity. Recommend remedial actions where appropriate.

·  Manage POS & POS inventory.

·  Customize and deliver fact based selling presentations by account or On/Off Premise retailer.

·  Budget planning, to include forecasting, and management (of promotional agencies).

·  Develop a key account list within designated areas and establish a personal rapport with buyers/owners.

·  Serves as a liaison between company and distributors in establishing quotas for distributors and in organizing local programs to solve market problems.

·  Identifies market opportunities and trends for market for On and/or Off Premise. Develop local market opportunity tactics and goals.

·  Development of Action Plan for each market opportunity within On and/or Off Premise.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
• Bachelors Degree required

Experience:
• Minimum 5 + years of field sales and account management experience in the spirits industry.

• Distributor performance management necessary
• Retail performance management (off-premise)
• On-premise account management

• Territory management (some budgeting & forecasting)
