The District Manager will be responsible for managing our distributors in Northern California and have direct responsibility for three sales people.
You should have excellent fine wine knowledge.
Ability to motivate, mentor, lead and support other sales people.
Effectively manage buying relationships with key accounts in order to achieve case sales and distribution objective within budgetary guidelines in order to meet Region profit contribution objectives.
Prepare forecasts for shipments, depletions and spending for all brands on an as needed basis.
Evaluate distributor price structure and brand equity investments to insure the company is receiving fair share of channel profits.
Conduct sales meetings and training sessions for wholesaler's sales/management staff.
The positon requires up to 40% travel primarily within assigned sales territory.
Qualified candidates should have 7+ years beverage sales management experience.
Knowledge of key trade account buyers buying and promotional practices and operational procedures.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Previous supervisory experience.
In depth knowledge of the wine industry.
Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
High level of proficiency with MS Office
