US: United Airlines confirms PepsiCo deal

The major US airline, United Airlines (UAL), has confirmed that Pepsi and Diet Pepsi are to replace Coca-Cola on all its flights from the beginning of May. PepsiCo and UAL have signed a five-year deal. As part of the deal, the two companies will also undertake joint promotional initiatives. "The Pepsi-Cola Company has been a major corporate customer of United's for many years and this agreement will allow us to further strengthen our business relationship," said Larry De Shon, UAL's senior vice president for onboard service.
